Abstracter is an Oakland, CA based band who formed in 2012, from the looks of things. Abstracter play an ominous and dense style of music that incorporates elements of black metal, crust, doom, and sludge within their sound. Musically, Abstracter, can be loosely compared to bands such as Mutilation Rites, Black September, Immortal Bird, Primitive Man, and Gehenna. Since forming in 2012, Abstracter have released a three song LP titled Tomb Of Feathers in September of 2012, a four song LP titled Wound Empire in February of 2015, a digital single titled Fear Of God in May of 2015, a split LP with Dark Circles in April of 2016, and a six song LP titled Cinereous Incarnate in June of 2018. Abomination is the band's latest full-length LP, which was released via Sentient Ruin laboratories on October 1st, 2021. On Abomination, Abstracter offer up five tracks of oppressive, brutal, and ugly sounding black metal, doom, crust, and sludge. Overall, Abomination makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
