CURSETHEKNIFE is a three piece band from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma who formed in 2019, from the looks of things. CURSETHEKNIFE play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, grunge, alt. rock, and shoegaze within their sound. Musically, CURSETHEKNIFE can be said to be influenced by bands such as Failure, Hum, My Bloody Valentine, Swervedriver, Catherine Wheel, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2019, CURSETHEKNIFE have released a two song demo in January of 2020, a digital single titled Pop Weed in April of 2020, a digital single titled Filter in April of 2020, a two song promo EP in October of 2020, a five song EP titled Thank You For Being Here Pt I in November of 2020, and a six song EP titled Thank You For Being Here Pt. II in December of 2020. Thank You For Being Here is CURSETHEKNIFE's latest double LP, which was released via New Morality Zine on May 28th, 2021. Thank You For Being Here compiles the band's first two EPs onto one double LP. On Thank You For Being Here, CURSETHEKNIFE offer up sixteen tracks of dark, moody, and gloomy sounding post hardcore, grunge, alt. rock, and shoegaze. Overall, Thank You For Being Here makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
