Sigil is a four piece band from Calgary, Alberta, Canada who formed in 2009, from the looks of things. Sigil play a vicious and brutal style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, death metal and black metal within their sound. Musically, Sigil can be loosely compared to bands such as Scorched, Tomb Mold, Black Tomb, All Else Failed, Anodyne, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2009, Sigil have released a seven song LP titled Primal Void in June of 2010, an eight song LP titled Mutagen in June of 2013, and a two song demo in July of 2019. Nether is the band's latest full-length LP, which was released via Total Dissonance Worship on July 19th, 2021. On Nether, Sigil offer up seven tracks of vicious and brutal as fuck sounding post hardcore, death metal, and black metal. Overall, Nether makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
