The Cold Seeps is a one person band from Vancouver, British Columbia who began composing music under the moniker The Cold Seeps in 2017. The Cold Seeps play a weird, dark, and unsettling style of music that incorporates elements of post punk, no-wave, and noise rock within their sound. Musically, The Cold Seeps can be said to be influenced by bands such as The Melvins, Cows, The Jesus Lizard, The Birthday Party, Nirvana, Swans, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2017, The Cold Seeps have released a four song EP titled Cedar Cottage in September of 2017, a six song EP titled Disappointment in July of 2019, a two song EP titled Dream Catcher/Rainbow in July of 2019, a two song EP titled Coke & Sympathy in December of 2019, an eight song LP titled New Darkness in December of 2019, a five song EP titled More Songs About Lucifer And Drugs in April of 2020, a nine song LP titled Some Kind Of Genocide in September 22nd, 2020, a seven song LP titled Astrologically Rambling in January of 2021, and most recently a six song EP titled The Melting Head in June of 2021. Bullshit Necromancy s the band's latest full-length LP, which was released on May 26th, 2021. On Bullshit Necromancy, The Cold Seeps offer up nine tracks of weird, gloomy, and unsettling post punk, no-wave, and noise rock. Overall, Bullshit Necromancy makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy
