Wow, I was really anticipating amazing things for the new collaborative LP from Louisville, singer/songwriter Emma Ruth Rundle and long running Louisiana based doom/sludge band, Thou. Let's just say that this album has totally blown my expectations out of the water and It's definitely safe to say that this album is definitely one of my favorites for 2020. The Helm Of Sorrow features a flawless mix of dark and heavy early 90's grunge tinged doom and sludge. On The Helm Of Sorrow, Emma Ruth Rundle and Thou offer up four collaborative tracks of dark and gloomy grunge-tinged doom and sludge. Overall, The Helm Of Sorrow makes for an amazing record and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy.
