Portrayal Of Guilt is a three piece band from Austin Texas who formed in 2016, from the looks of things. Portrayal Of Guilt features members of Illustrations and play a brutal and vicious style of blackened hardcore, punk, screamo, and black metal within their sound. Musically, Portrayal Of Guilt can be loosely compared to Majority Rule, Forensics, Orchid, Jesuit, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2016, Portrayal Of Guilt have released a self-titled 7" in May of 2017, a digital single titled Spiritual Cramp in October of 2017, a split 7" with Street Sects in March of 2018, a digital single titled Chamber Of Misery (Pt.1) in July of 2018, a full-length LP titled Let Pain Be Your Guide in November of 2018, a six song 12" titled Suffering Is A Gift in August of 2019, a split 7" with Soft Kill on September 4th, 2019, and a split 7"with Slow Fire Pistol in February of 2020 We Are Always Alone is the band's latest l, which was released via Closed Casket Activities on January 29th, 2021. On We Are Always Alone, Portrayal Of Guilt offer up nine tracks of vicious, volatile, and chaotic hardcore, punk, black metal, and screamo.
