Afghan Haze is a four piece band from CT who formed in 2019, from the looks of things. Afghan Haze play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of doom, metal, sludge, and stoner metal within their sound. Musically, Afghan Haze can be loosely compared to bands such as Barishi, Eyehategod, Hollow Leg, Buzzoven, Northless, Dopelord, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2019, Afghan Haze have released a three song EP titled Burnt Offering in October of 2019. Nihilistic Stoner Hymns is the band's debut full-length LP, which was released on January 1st, 2021. On Nihilistic Stoner Hymns, Afghan Haze offer up seven tracks of ugly, ominous, and oppressively heavy sounding doom, metal, sludge, and stoner metal. Overall, Nihilistic Stoner Hymns makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
