The Casket Lottery are a four piece band from Kansas City, Missouri who formed in 1997. The Casket Lottery features members of Coalesce, The Appleseed Cast, Old Canes, Jackie Carol, and Able Baker Fox, so going on that alone, you know you're in for something truly special. The Casket Lottery play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, punk, emo, alt. rock, and indie rock within their sound. Since forming in 1997, The Casket Lottery have released four full-length LPs, seven EPs, as well as split EPs with Waxwing, Reflector, Small Brown Bike, Hot Water Music, and Touche Amore. Short Songs For End Times is the band's latest full-length LP, and first since their 2012 LP Real Fear. On Short Songs For End Times, The Casket Lottery offer up ten tracks of killer post hardcore, punk, emo, alt. rock, and indie rock.
