Shadow People are a three piece band from Baton Rouge, LA who formed in 2013. Shadow People play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, punk, metal, sludge, and noise rock within their sound. Musically, Shadow People can be said to be influenced by bands such as Unwound, Drive Like Jehu, Mouse Ear (Forget Me Not) era Shotmaker, Crownhate Ruin, Hoover, Kowloon Walled City, Unsane, and other like-minded bands. Batom Rouge/Washing In Soap Opera is the band's latest LP, which was released via Forbidden Place records on December 4th, 2020. On Batom Rouge/Washing In Soap Opera, Shadow People offer up ten tracks of emotive, discordant, and off-kilter sounding post hardcore, punk, metal, sludge, and noise rock. Overall, Batom Rouge/Washing In Soap Opera makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
