Oil Spill is a five piece band from Texas who formed in 2018, from the looks of things. Oil Spill play a ugly, raw, and filthy style of music that incorporates elements of black metal, crust, and sludge within their sound. Musically, Oil Spill can be loosely compared to bands such as Yellow Eyes, Willow Ash, Immortal Bird, and other like-minded bands. Ashlands is the band's debut EP, which was released via Left Hand Tapes on April 3rd, 2020. On Ashlands, Oil Spill offer up three tracks of killer black metal, crust, and sludge. Overall, Ashlands makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
