Skaphe is a two piece band from Philadelpha, PA who formed in early 2014, from the looks of things. Skaphe play a dark, ambient, and atmospheric sounding style of music that incorporates elements of black metal, death metal, and doom within their sound. Musically, Skaphe can be loosely compared to bands such as Alter Of Plagues, Columns, Ancestors, Plaguebearer, and other like-minded bands. Since their inception in 2014, Skaphe have released a self-titled four song EP in May of 2014, a six song EP titled 2 in February of 2016, a self-titled EP in March of 2017, and a split LP with Wormlust in June of 2019. 3 is the band's latest full-length LP, which was released via Mystiskaos records and Iron Bonehead Productions on September 30th, 2020. On 3, Skaphe offer up ten tracks of ominous and oppressive sounding black metal, death metal, and doom. Overall, 3 makes for a killer LP and should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
