Exhalants are a three piece band from Austin, Texas who formed in 2017. Exhalants play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, punk, and noise rock within their sound. Musically, Exhalants can be loosely compared to bands such as Drive Like Jehu, Unwound, Hoover, Crownhate Ruin, War Brides, Whores, Slint, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2017, Exhalants have released a five song demo titled Democore in October of 2017, a self-titled ten song LP in August of 2018, and a split EP with PINKO in November of 2018. Atonement is the band's latest full-length LP, which was released via Hex records on September 11th, 2020. On Atonement, Exhalants offer up nine tracks of discordant and tense sounding post hardcore, punk, and noise rock. Overall, Atonement makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed.
