Fontaines D.C. are a five piece band from Dublin, Ireland who formed 2016, from the looks of things. Fontaines D.C. play a tense, moody, and discordant style of music that incorporates elements of post punk, punk, garage rock, indie rock, and noise rock within their sound. Musically, Fontaines D.C. can be loosely compared to bands such as Idles, Moaning, Bloc Party, Ice Age, Interpol, Death Bells, and other like-minds. Since forming in 2016, Fontaines D.C. have released a two song EP titled Chequeless Reckless/Boys In The Better Land in August of 2018, a two song EP titled Too Real in November of 2018, and an eleven song LP titled Dogrel in April of 2019. A Hero's Death is the band's latest LP, which was released via Partisan records on July 31st, 2020. On A Hero's Death, Fontaines D.C. offer up eleven tracks of tense, moody, and discordant sounding post punk, punk, garage rock, indie rock, and noise rock.
