Heron is a four piece band from Vancouver, British Columbia who formed in 2014, from the looks of things. Heron play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post metal, post rock, doom, and sludge within their sound. Musically, Heron can be loosely compared to bands such as The Ditch And The Delta, Titan, Neurosis, Thou, Northless, Year Of No Light, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2014, Heron have released a self-titled four song EP in April of 2015, a three song EP titled Fire Twin in October of 2016, and a six song LP titled A Low Winter's Sun in April of 2018. Time Immemorial is the band's latest full-length LP, which was released via Sludgelord records on May 15th, 2020. On Time Immemorial, Heron offer up six tracks of oppressive and heavy as fuck sounding post metal, post rock, doom, and sludge. Overall, Time Immemorial makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
