Barren Womb is a two piece band from Trondheim, Norway who formed in November of 2011. Barren Womb play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, punk, sludge, and noise rock within their sound. Musically, Barren Womb can be loosely compared to bands such as Unsane, Throat, Faking, The Melvins, The Jesus Lizard, Sinking Suns, Pigs, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2011, Barren Womb have released asplit EP with Forraederi in May of 2012, an eight song LP titled On The Origin Of Faeces in September of 2012, a split EP with Remote in April of 2013, a thirteen song LP titled The Sun's Not Yellow, It's Chicken in March of 2014, a split EP with Grizzlor in March of 2015, a ten song LP titled Nique Everything in November of 2015, a six song EP titled Crown Control in April of 2017, and an eight song LP titled Old Money/New Lows in February of 2018. Lounge Lizard is the band's latest LP, which was released via Loyal Blood records on May 22nd, 2020. On Lounge Lizard, Barren Womb offer up ten tracks of killer post hardcore, punk, sludge, and noise rock. Overall, Lounge Lizard makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed.
