Throwing Bricks is a five piece band from Utrecht, Netherlands who formed in 2013. Throwing Bricks play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post metal, post hardcore, sludge, and black metal within their sound. Musically, Throwing Bricks can be loosely compared to bands such as Amen Ra, Neurosis, Oathbreaker, Amber, Lightbearer, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2013, Throwing Bricks have released a self-titled demo in April of 2013, a ten song LP of the band's earlier material from 2013-2015 titled Collected in March of 2015, and a five song EP titled Self-Distancing in November of 2016. What Will Be Lost is the band's latest LP, which was released via Tartarus records on May 15th, 2020. On What Will Be Lost, Throwing Bricks offer up eight tracks of atmospheric and oppressively brutal sounding post metal, post hardcore, sludge, and black metal. Overall, What Will Be Lost makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
