MAHRIA were a five piece band from Edmonton, Alberta Canada who existed from 2011-2017. MAHRIA play a chaotic and volatile style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, and screamo within their sound. Musically, MAHRIA can be said to be influenced by bands such as Orchid, Ampere, Funeral Diner, In First Person, Saetia, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2011, MAHRIA have released a split 10" with Todos Caeran in July of 2011, a self-titled LP in November of 2011, a split 7" with Watcher in December of 2012, contributed a song to the Epilogue Of A Car Crash Orchid Tribute LP on Dog Knights Productions in April of 2013, and a self-titled 7" in April of 2013. Analemma is the band's last full-length LP, which was released digitally back in November of 2017. Analemma was released on cassette via Zegema Beach records on May 5th, 2020. On Analemma, MAHRIA offer up ten tracks of chaotic and volatile sounding hardcore, punk, and screamo. Overall, Analemma makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed.
