Holy shit. This absolutely rips. Chepang is a five piece band from NYC and Napal who formed in 2016. Chepang play a vicious, brutal, and scathing style of politically charged music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, grindcore, and powerviolence within their sound. Since forming in 2016, Chepang have released an eight song EP titled Lathi Charge in August of 2016, a one song demo titled 1 Love in April of 2017, a fourteen song LP titled Dadhelo in November of 2017, and a split EP with Test in May of 2018. Chatta is the band's latest full-length LP, which was released via Nerve Altar records on May 22nd, 2020. On Chatta, Chepang offer up seventeen tracks of blistering, caustic, and brutal as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, grindcore, and powerviolence. Overall, Chatta makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
