BIGHAND//BIGKNIFE is a three piece band from Denton, Texas who formed in 2012, from the looks of things. BIGHAND//BIGKNIFE play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, punk, metal, sludge, grunge, and noise rock within their sound. Musically, BIGHAND//BIGKNIFE can be loosely compared to bands such as Bardus, Pigs, Unsane, The Melvins, Unsane, Fight Amp, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2012, BIGHAND//BIGKNIFE have released a seven song LP titled Winner's Cup in April of 2016, a five song live EP in September of 2018, and a four-way slit 7" with Almanac Man, Emma Goldman, and Abandoncy titled Meditations In Affinity: Solitude in April of 2020. Plunge is the band's debut 12", which was originally released back in September of 2014 and was released as a limited edition lathe 12" via The Ghost Is Clear records on May 22nd, 2020. On Plunge, BIGHAND//BIGKNIFE offer up six tracks of killer post hardcore, punk, metal, sludge, grunge, and noise rock. Overall, Plunge makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed.
