Seaxes are a three piece band from Chicago, Illinois who formed in 2019, from the looks of things. Seaxes features members of Bongripper and CSTVT, so going on that alone, you know you're in for something truly specal. Seaxes play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post punk, no wave, math rock, and noise rock within their sound. Musically, Seaxes cite Shellac, Birds In Row, Daughters, Uzeda, Oxbow, and Mcluskyas influences, which definitely shows up in the band's sound and style. This is the band's debut EP, which was released on March 17th, 2020. On their self-titled debut, Seaxes offer up four tracks of tense, discordant, and unhinged sounding post punk, no wave, math rock, and noise rock. Overall, Seaxes' debut EP makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
