Kinghorn are a three piece band from Portland, Oregon who formed in 2019, from the looks of things. Kinghorn features members of Prize Country, Fortune Club, Dark Country, Ports Will Call, Source Code, Skyscraper, so going on that alone, you know you're in for something truly special. Kinghorn play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, punk, sludge, grunge, and noise rock within their sound. Musically, Kinghorn can be loosely compared to bands such as Young Widows, Fight Amp, Melvins, Whores, Kowloon Walled City, Torche, late era Suicide Note, late era Sweet Cobra, and other like-minded bands. Short Stories is the band's debut EP, which was released on March 6th, 2020. On Short Stories, Kinghorn offer up five tracks of angular, discordant, and fuzzed out post hardcore, punk, sludge, grunge, and noise rock. Overall, Short Stories makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed. Seriously, this EP absolutely rips and should not be missed! Highly recommended! Enjoy!
