Folian is a one person band from Portland Oregon who began playing music under the moniker Folian in 2017, from the looks of things. Folian can be loosely compared to artists such as Drowse, A Stick and A Stone, The Stargazer Lilies, Troubled By Insects, Planning For Burial, Lumbar, Shifting Harbor, Juracán, Elrond, Hot Victory, Blush, Body Shame, Yob, Nostalgist, Phantom Family, All Your Sisters, Xasthur, Johanna Warren, Ali Burress, and other like minded musicians. Since forming in 2017, Folian has released a one song EP titled Loom in January of 2017, a one song EP titled Things Go Away in March of 2017, a two song LP titled Unsound Thing in January of 2018, a four song LP titled Ache Pillars in March of 2019, and a one song EP titled The Archangel Of Huntridge in December of 2019. Blue Mirror is Folian's latest full-length LP, which was released on January 31st, 2020. On Blue Mirror, Folian offer up nine tracks of killer post metal, doom, and shoegaze. Overall, Blue Mirror makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
