Gloop is a three piece band from Frederick, Maryland who formed in 2016, from the looks of things. Gloop play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post punk, punk, and noise rock within their sound. Musically, Gloop can be loosely compared to bands such as Ten Volt Shock, The Hex Machine, The Dazzling Killmen, USA Nails, Wire, Big Black, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2016, Gloop have released a five song EP titled Junk Drawer in January of 2017 and an eight song EP titled The Tourist in June of 2018. Smiling Lines is the band's latest LP, which was released via Grimoire records on September 27th, 2019. On Smiling Lines, Gloop offer up tense tracks of tense, discordant, and completely unhinged sounding post punk, punk, and noise rock. Overall, Smiling Lines makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
