Geist is a four piece band from Northeast UK who formed in 2015. Geist play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, crust, metal, and sludge within their sound. Musically, Geist can be loosely compared to bands such as Direwolves, Cursed, Baptists, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2015, Geist have released a six song EP titled Faith Healing in January of 2015, a five track live EP titled Son Of Sun in April of 2016, a split 7" with Sunlight's Bane in September of 2016, a six song EP titled Disrepair in September of 2017, and a split 7" with Everything Went Black in August of 2018. Swarming Season is the band's latest LP, which was released via Cursed Monk records on September 20th, 2019. On Swarming Season, Geist offer up eight tracks of brutal as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, crust, metal, and sludge. Overall, Swarming Season makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
