Squalor is a four piece band from Portland, Oregon who formed in late 2014. Squalor play a raw and blown out style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore and punk within their sound. Musically, Squalor can be loosely compared to bands such as Hoax, The Lowest Form, Walls, and Pleasure Cross. Since forming in 2014, Squalor have released a six song EP titled The Noel EP in January of 2015, a digital single titled How I Spent My Winter Existence in July of 2016, an eleven song LP titled Brain Dead Generation in November of 2016, and a digital single titled Sixteen in August of 2018. Fears/Nightmares is Squalor's latest release, which was released on January 2nd, 2019. On Fears/Nightmares, Squalor offer up four tracks of noisy, chaotic, and vicious as fuck sounding hardcore and punk. Overall, Fears/Nightmares is a killer release and definitely should not be missed.
