Hex Machine is a three piece band from Richmond, Virginia who formed in 2008, from the looks of things. Hex Machine play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, sludge, and noise rock within their sound. Musically, Hex Machine can be loosely compared to bands such as Drive Like Jehu, Unwound, Helms Alee, Jesus Lizard, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2008, Hex Machine have released a digital single titled Headless in October of 2011, a digital single titled Shameless Promotion in August of 2012, a digital single titled Vivisection in April of 2013, a self-titled 7" in 2008, a nine song LP titled Omen Mas in February of 2009, and a ten song LP titled Fixator in August of 2013. Cave Painting is the band's latest LP, which was released on June 20th, 2019. On Cave Painting, Hex Machine offer up eight tracks of killer post hardcore, sludge, and noise rock. Overall, Cave Painting makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
