Bruised is a four piece band from Chicago, Illinois who formed in 2016, from the looks of things. Bruised play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post punk and punk within their sound. Musically, Bruised can be loosely compared to bands such as Airfix Kits, Giant Haystacks, Citizen Fish, The Estranged, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2016, Bruised have released a digital single titled Arrow Of Disease in January of 2017, a self-titled EP in September of 2017, a five song EP titled Introduction To Rotten Codex in June of 2018, and a five song live EP titled Slithering Thru Fences in September of 2018. Rotten Codex is the band's debut LP, which was released via Chicago Research records on May 15th , 2019. On Rotten Codex, Bruised offer up thirteen tracks of tense, discordant, and moody post punk and punk. Overall, Rotten Codex makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed.
