Modern Rituals is a four piece band from London, United Kingdom who formed in 2016, from the looks of things. Modern Rituals play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of punk, grunge, indie rock, emo, and alt. rock within their sound. Musically, Modern Rituals can be said to be influenced by bands such as Guided By Voices, Built To Spill, Texas Is The Reason, Jawbreaker, The Jealous Sound, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2016, Modern Rituals have released a six song EP titled Stranger Culture in May of 2016, a two song EP titled Hermit Kuppling February of 2018, and a full length LP titled The Light That Leaks In in June of 2018. Yearning is the band's latest EP, which was released via Holy Roar records on April 12th, 2019. On Yearning, Modern Rituals offer up four tracks of gloomy, moody, and catchy as hell sounding punk, grunge, indie rock, emo, and alt. rock. Overall, Yearning makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
