Respire is a six piece band from Toronto, Ontario, Canada who formed in early 2016. Respire play a dark and atmospheric style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, screamo, post rock, and post metal within their sound. Musically, Respire can said to be influenced by bands such as Old Soul, Black Love, Godspeed! You Black Emperor, Russian Circles, The Appleseed Cast, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2013, Respire have released a self-titled four song demo in April of 2014, and a digital single titled Anthems For Falling Stars in January of 2015. Gravity And Grace is the band's debut full-length LP, which was initially released via Zegema Beach, Ozona, Dingleberry, Narshardaa, and Parking Lot Records on April 22nd 2016. Gravity And Grace was recently re-pressed and released via Middle-Man records on April 5th, 2019. On Gravity And Grace, Respire offer up nine tracks of killer post hardcore, post rock, post metlal, and screamo. Overall, Gravity And Grace is a killer LP and should not be missed.
