Archivist is a six piece band from Austria, Germany, and The United Kingdom who formed in 2015. Archivist play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of atmospheric black metal, post metal, post hardcore, crust, and blackgaze within their sound. Musically, Archivist can be loosely compared to bands such as Lightbearer, Amber, Year Of No Light, Fall Of Efrafa, and Amen Ra. Since forming in 2015, Archivist have released a self-titled eight song LP in June of 2015 and a ten song LP titled Construct in April of 2017. Triumvirate is the band's latest full length LP, which was released on April 28th, 2019. On Triumvirate, Archivist offer up eight tracks of bleak, oppressive, and crushing black metal, post metal, post hardcore, crust, and blackgaze. Overall, Triumvirate makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
