Human Hands are a Birmingham based band who formed in 2010. Human
Hands play a tense style of music that incorporates elements of punk,
screamo, and emo within their sound. Musically, Human
Hands give nods to late 80's revolution summer style hardcore bands as
well as mid to late 1990's Ebullition style emo and screamo bands such
as The Pine, Torches To Rome, Bread And Circuits, etc. Since forming in
2010, Human Hands have released a self-titled four song demo in July of
2010, a split cassette with Verme in February of 2011, a split cassette
with Deergear in May of 2011, a three song self-titled cassette in May
of 2011, a two song self-titled 7" in May of 2011, a split 7" with Your
Neighbour The Liar in December of 2011, a split 7" with Bird Calls in
December of 2011, a split 7" with Wits End in January of 2013, a
self-titled LP in January of 2014, a split 7" with Carson Wells in June
of 2014, a split 10" with Asthenia, Nebraska, Duct Hearts and Manku
Kapak in May of 2014, a split 7" with Mars To Stay in January of 2015,
contributed a song to the Divided By Water 2x 7" compilation in March of
2016, and a split LP with The Blue Period in March of 2016. Morning
Sun is the band's latest full-length LP, which was initially released via Strictly
No Capital Letter and Time As A Colour records on January 26th, 2016. Morning Sun was recently re-released on Larry Records on April 15th, 2019.
On Morning Wood, Human Hands offer up six tracks of tense and somber
sounding punk and emo. Overall, Morning Sun makes for a great listen.
Highly recommended! Enjoy!
