Grip is a three piece band from Philadelphia, PA who formed in the fall of 2014. Grip play a killer style of heavy and at times, atmospheric style of music the incorporates elements of post hardcore, screamo, noise rock, sludge, and doom within their sound. Musically, Grip can be said to be influenced by bands such as Slint, Unwound, Sloths, Fell To Low, Totem Skin, Locktender, and the Appleseed Cast. Since forming in 2014, Grip have released a self-titled demo in September of 2014, and a five song EP titled Wolves/Fawn in October of 2015. Early Iteration is Grip's latest LP, which was released on April 8th, 2019. On Early Iteration, Grip offer up nine tracks of tense and discordant as fuck sounding post hardcore, screamo, noise rock, doom, and sludge. Overall, Early Iteration makes for an awesome LP.
