Here's a killer split 7" featuring new material from San Antonio Texas' Pinko and Austin, Texas' Exhalants. Pinko is a three piece band from San Antonio, Texas who formed in
August
of 2014. Pinko play a killer style of music that incorporates elements
of post hardcore, punk, and noise rock within their sound. Musically,
Pinko can be said to be influenced by bands such as Drive Like Jehu, Hot Snakes, Science Of Yabra, Haymarket Riot, and early 2000's AmRep style noise rock bands. Since forming in 2014,
Pinko have released a self-titled cassette in August of 2015, a split LP with Bummer in April of 2017, and a split 7" with New Primals in September of 2018. On their side of the split, Pinko offer up two tracks of post hardcore, punk, and noise rock. The second side of the 7" belongs to Exhalants. Exhalants are a three piece band from Austin, Texas who formed in 2017.
Exhalants play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of
post hardcore, punk, and noise rock within their sound. Musically,
Exhalants can be loosely compared to bands such as Drive Like Jehu, War
Brides, Whores, Hoover, Slint, Unwound, and other like-minded bands.
Since forming in 2017, Exhalants have released a five song demo titled
Democore in October of 2017 and a self-titled LP in August of 2018. On their side of the split, Exhalants offer up two tracks of killer post hardcore, punk, and noise rock. Overall, this is an amazing split 7" and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
