Thetan is a two piece band from Nashville, Tennessee who formed in early 2011. Thetan play a raw ad ugly style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, powerviolence, and grindcore within their sound. Since their inception in 2011, Thetan have released a split with Bible Thumper in September of 2012, a split cassette with Downpour in March of 2013, a thirteen song LP titled Laughed At By The Gods in February of 2012, a split LP with Bleed The Pigs in February of 2015, a three-way split with Seek, Altar Of Complaints, and Stubborn Father in February of 2015. and a two song EP titled Who Will Protect Us?//Relief in November of 2015. Abysmal is Thetan's latest full-length LP, which was released on February 1st, 2019. Who Will Protect Us?//Relief features a cover of Brother Inferior's Who Protect Us and Doom's Relief Pt. II. On Abtysmal, Theatan offer up eighteen caustic as fuck sounding tracks of hardcore, punk, powerviolence, and grindcore. Overall, Abysmal is a killer LP and definitely should not be missed.
