Whep is a three piece band from Denton, Texas who formed in 2018, from the looks of things. Whep play a tense, angular, and discordant style of music that incorporates elements of post punk, punk, grunge, and noise rock within their sound. Musically, Whep can be loosely compared to bands such as Unsane, Wrangler Brutes, The New Brutalism, Drive Like Jehu, Science Of Yabra, and other like-minded bands. Welp is the band's debut EP, which was released on January 9th, 2019. On their self-titled debut, Whep offer up five tracks of killer post punk, punk, grunge, and noise rock. Overall, Whep's debut EP makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
