GERDA is a fur piece band from Italy, who who formed in 2004, from the looks of things. GERDA play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post metal, post rock, shoegaze, and noisecore within their sound. Musically, GERDA can be said to be influenced by bands such as Russian Circles, Neurosis, Drive Like Jehu, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2014, GERDA have released a self-titled LP in 2005, an LP titled Cosa Dico Quando Non Parlo in 2007, a self- titled EP in 2009, a split with Dead Like Me in 2012, an LP titled Your Sister in 2014, a 4-way split with Tutti i Colori del Buio, Storm O, Chambers in 2015, a split with Lleroy in 2017, and a split with Moe in 2017. Black Queer is GERDA's latest full-length LP, which was released via Sonatine Produzioni, Shove Records, Bloody Sound Records and Wallace Records on March 3oth, 2018. On Black Queer, GERDA offer up eight tracks of killer post metal, post rock, shoegaze, and noisecore. Overall, Black Queer makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed.
