Hawks is a four piece band from Atlanta, Georgia who formed in 2008.
Hawks play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of punk,
grunge, and noise rock within their sound. Musically, Hawks can be
loosely compared to bands such as Buildings, Whores, War Brides, Bardus,
and Pigs. Since forming in 2008, Hawks have released a ten song LP
titled Barnburner in February of 2009, a split EP with Grasshopper Lies
Heavy in July of 2010, a double 7" with Cafe Flesh in November of 2010, a
thirteen song LP titled Rub in March of 2011, a nine song LP titled
Pushover in April of 2012, a self-titled 7" in April of 2013, a split 7"
with Buildings in 2013, and a self-titled LP in April of 2014. No Cash
Value is Hawks' 5th, and unfortunately final LP, which was released via
Rejuvenation and Learning Curve records on February 8th, 2017. On No
Cash Value, Hawks offer up ten tracks of filthy, raw, and ugly sounding
punk, grunge, and noise rock. Overall, No Cash Value makes for an
amazing listen and should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
