Kal Marks is three piece band from Boston, MA who formed in 2006, from the looks of things. Kal Marks play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of punk, grunge, alt. rock, and noise rock within their sound. Kal Marks' sound is definitely unique and hard to pigeonhole, which is definitely a good thing as far as I'm concerned. The best way I could come up with as far as describing the band's music is to have you picture a band channeling The Pixies and mixing that up with the kinetic/frenetic energy of Metz. Since forming in 2011, Kal Marks have released a nine song LP titled Goodbye Horses in March of 2011, a six song EP titled Piss Of The Century in July of 2012, a twelve song LP titled Go Plow! in March of 2013, a nine song LP titled Life Is Murder in September of 2013, a three song 7" titled Just A Lonely Fart in December of 2014, a ten song LP titled Life Is Alright, Everybody Dies in February of 2016, a 17 song LP titled Idiot Troubadour (Early Recordings 2006-2009) in February of 2018, and a Live Audiotree EP in May of 2018. Universal Care is the band's latest full-length LP, which was released via Exploding In Sound records on February 9th, 2018. On Universal Care, Kal Marks offer up twelve tracks of discordant and frenetic sounding punk, grunge, alt. rock, and noise rock. Overall, Universal Care makes for an awesome listen and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
