Big Ups is a four piece band from NYC who formed in 2010. Big Ups play a
killer style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, post
punk, grunge, and noise rock within their sound. Musically, Big Ups
can be said to be influenced by bands such as Helmet, Fugazi, Melvins,
and Drive Like Jehu. Since forming in 2010, Big Ups have released a
three song demo in September of 2010, a three song 7" titled Wake Up in
September of 2011, a split 7" with Flagland in February of 2013, an
eleven song LP titled Eighteen Hours Of Static in January of 2014, a two
song 7" titled Rash/Not Today in October of 2014, a split 7" with
Washer in November of 2014, Audiotree Live EP in
October of 2016, and a full-length LP titled Before A Million Universes in
March of 2016. Two Parts Together is the band's latest full-length LP, which was released via Exploding In Sound records on May 18th, 2018. On Two Parts Together, Big Ups offer up eight
tracks of killer post hardcore, post punk, grunge, and noise rock
that's an absolute must listen for fans of Unsane, T-Tops, Whores, and

Pardon me but bIG Ups have nothing to do with bands Like Helmet or Unsane or even Melvins.Their main influence is legendary Slint and bands like Shipping News or June of 44.Comparisons could be made with Enablers as well.
I still get Fugazi, Slint, Etc.but think they're heavier, especially their older stuff. Music can be a subjective experience and people hear things differently.
I'm here for anything remotely compared to Fugazi
