Worst Gift is a three piece band from Toronto, Ontario who formed in early 2014, from the looks of things. Worst Gift play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, post rock, and noise rock within their sound. Musically, Worst Gift can be said to be influenced by bands such as Hoover, North Of America, The Plan, Sinaloa, Slint, and The Appleseed Cast. As far as modern comparisons go, Worst Gift can loosely compared to bands such as Sloths and Fell To Low. Worst Gift's sound and style can be said to be tense, discordant, and urgent as fuck. Worst Gift's sound features a killer quiet/loud dynamic that only adds to the intensity of the band's music. Since their inception in 2014, Worst Gift have released a two song EP titled Yard Meat in May of 2014 and a four song EP titled Shitty Loser Riffs in May of 2015. World's Worst is the band's latest LP, which was released via Art Of The Uncarved Block records on September 21st, 2017. On World's Worst, Worst Gift offer up nine tracks of killer post hardcore, post rock, and noise rock. Overall, World's Worst makes for an amazing listen and definitely should not be missed.
