Dark Habits is a three piece band from Glasgow, Scotland who formed in late 2016, from the looks of things. Dark Habits cite Dead in the Dirt, All Pigs Must Die, His Hero Is Gone, Young and in the Way, Lord Mantis, Nails, Coffinworm, Trap Them, Dragged Into Sunlight, and Converge as influences, which definitely shows up in the band's sound and style. Dark Habits play a blistering, raw, chaotic, and brutal as fuck style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, crust, d-beat, and grindcore within the band's sound. Musically, Dark Habits can be loosely compared to bands such as Trap Them, SVFFER, Torch Runner, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2016, Dark Habits have released a a six song EP titled Cave Paintings in May of 2017. Scaphism is the band's latest EP, which was released on April 16th, 2017. On Scaphism, Dark Habits offer up five tracks of chaotic and brutal as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, crust, d-beat, and grindcore. Overall, Scaphism makes for an awesome and definitely should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
