It's members are also known for their work in State Faults, Strike To Survive and The Vibrating Antennas. No further namedropping here... After releasing a 3-track digital EP in 2014 and a 6-track cassette EP in 2016, this is their newest output released as an 1-sided 5-track 12'' EP with a nice etching on the b-side. No Sleep Records took the release for US, Dog Knights Productions for UK/Europe. This is really good stuff... Highly recommended.!

THIS IS SOOOO FUCKIN' GOOD.!! Wolftooth is a fresh band from Richmond, Indiana consisting of four guys who are not new to the metal scene. To me it's unclear in which bands they've played before they've founded Wolftooth. Seemingly popped out of nowhere, this needs full attention.! Their style ranges from 70's rock, 80's & 90's stoner rock to melodic doom. You might hear a lot of influences on this really impressive album like Sleep, The Sword, Angel Witch, Earth Witch, Green Yeti, Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy, a bit of Baroness and a bit of stoned Mastodon. This is their debut album and it's full of dynamic big stoner riffs, precise hitting drums and bluesy, melodic vocals. Shit, the vocals are fuckin' huge.!! For a debut album the production is absolutely remarkable. Just digital released, this album will see the light of day in physical formats on march 5 this year (cd) through Blackseed Records and in may (vinyl) through Cursed Tongue Records.
I bet we'll see this band sharing stages with some of the greatest bands in stoner rock and doom in the coming future. If you like this album, pleeeaaase buy it.! This is absolutely worth it and they deserve every support they can get.! It's simply a big stoner rock delight. God damn, i love it.!

HUMANITY IS A CURSE - Raging For A Lighthouse (2018)

God damn what is in the water in Germany? What is it that gives that country the ability to churn out amazing Crust bands one after another? Seriously, I want to know. I don't get it. But anyway, continuing this fine tradition of perfected riffs oozing with Blackened Hardcore is Berlin's Humanity Is A Curse. This 8-song LP they just put out is just absolutely fantastic from beginning to end. If you've been longing for some filthy sounding Crust Punk, look no further.

 Wake is a 5-piece blistering, dark grindcore band from Calgary, Canada. This band is really pissed off, hateful and infernal sounding. Their last full-length album 'sowing the seeds of a worthless tommorow' is an outstanding release of the genre...one of the most apocalyptic records one can imagine.! The vocalist is also a member of Calgary's Kataplexis. 

This is their full discography consisting of three full-length albums, one 7'', three split 7''s and one compilation track. On februar 23 their new album 'misery rites' will be released on translation loss records. It's one of my most anticipated albums of 2018. Two songs from that album can actually be streamed on wake's bandcamp page.
This is my favorite modern grindcore band which crossed my way for the first time right here on this blog 2 years ago. Play loud and enjoy.!!
