Soupcans are a three piece band from Toronto, Ontario who formed in 2009. Soupcans play a loud, angular, tense, and discordant style of weirdo outsider punk and noise rock. Soupcans can be said to be influenced by bands such as Drive Like Jehu, late 80's AmRep style noise rock bands, and San Diego 31G style noise bands. Since forming in 2009, Soupcans have released a four song EP titled Free Garbage in December of 2010, an eight song EP titled Erotic Nightmare in February of 2011, a four song EP titled Altered States in February of 2012, an eleven song LP titled Good Feelings in November of 2012, a six song 7" titled Parasite Brain in November of 2013, a six song EP titled Incesticide II in September of 2014, and a thirteen song LP titled Soft Party in November of 2015. Pleasure Overdose is the band's ninth, and unfortunately final release, which was released on May 23rd, of 2017. On Pleasure Overdose, Soupcans offer up nine tracks of loud, blown out, and loud as hell sounding punk and noise rock. Overall, Pleasure Overdose makes for an awesome listen. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
