Here's a killer split featuring new material from IN's Hive Mind and NJ's What Of Us. Hive Mind is a four piece band from Bloomington, Indiana who formed in
late 2015, from the looks of things. Hive Mind play a chaotic,
volatile, scathing and completely unhinged style of music that
incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, grindcore, and emoviolence
within their sound. Musically, Hive Mind can be loosely compared to
bands such as Ginding Halt, Resurrectionists, Phoenix Bodies, Republic
Of Dreams, and Orchid. Since forming in 2015, Hive Mind have released a self-titled five song EP in February of 2016. On their side of the split Hive Mind offer up three songs of chaotic and brutal as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, grindcore, and emoviolence. The second two songs on the split come courtesy of What Of Us. What Of Us is a four piece band from New Jersey featuring members of In First Person,
Black Kites, Less Life, Capacities, Au Revoir and Guidelines. What Of
Us play a volatile and chaotic style of music that incorporates elements
of hardcore, punk, and screamo. Musically, What Of Us can be said to
be influenced by bands such as Pg. 99, Ampere, Orchid, and other
like-minded bands. Since forming in 2015, What Of Us have released a split LP with Coma Regalia in July of 2016. On their side of the split, What Of Us offer up two tracks of chaotic and brutal as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, and screamo. Overall, this is a killer split and definitely should not be missed. This split was released via Hydrogen Man and Middle-Man records on April 22nd, 2017.
