War Brides is a four piece band from Chicago, Illinois who formed in 2010, from the looks of things. War Brides play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of punk, sludge, and noise rock. Musically, War Brides can be said to be influenced by 90's grunge and 80's-90's AmRep style noise rock played by bands such as Shellac, Cows, Hammerhead, and Jesus Lizard. Since forming in 2010, War Brides have released a four song EP titled Terminus in May of 2011. Burden is the band's latest six song EP, which was released in May of 2013. On Burden, War Brides offer up six tracks of sludgy/noise damaged punk that is an absolute must listen for fans of Whores, T-Tops, Hawks, Bardus, and other like-minded bands. Overall, Burden is a killer EP and should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
