Plagues is a four piece band from Boston, MA who formed in 2013, from the looks of things. Plagues play a raw, filthy, and oppressive as fuck style of music that incorporates elements of black metal, death metal, punk, and thrash within their sound. Since forming in 2013, Plagues have released a four song EP titled Darknes Reigns in January of 2013, a three song EP titled Winter Tomb in December of 2013, and a four song EP titled Death March in January of 2015. The Great Dark Devotion is the band's latest full-length LP, which is slated for release on March 3rd, 2017. On The Great Dark Devotion, Plagues offer up nine tracks of raw and filthy as fuck sounding black metal, death metal, punk, and thrash. Overall, The Great Dark Devotion makes for an awesome listen and Plagues is an absolute must listen for fans of Black Tomb, Black September, Immortal Bird, and Thou. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
