Here's a killer split LP featuring new material from Brimingham, UK's Human Hands and Nottingham, UK's The Blue Period. Human Hands are a Birmingham based band who formed in 2010. Human Hands play a tense style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, screamo, and emo within their sound. Musically, Human Hands give nods to late 80's revolution summer style hardcore bands as well as mid to late 1990's Ebullition style emo and screamo bands such as The Pine, Torches To Rome, Bread And Circuits, etc. On their side of the split, Human Hands offer up four tracks of tense sounding hardcore, punk, emo, and screamo. The next four tracks on the split come courtesy of The Blue Period. The Blue Period is a four piece band from Nottingham, UK who formed in 2013. The Blue Period play a somber and laid back style of music that incorporates elements of punk, emo, and 90's style alt. rock within their style. Musically, The Blue Period can be said to be influenced by bands such as Rainer Maria, Lemuria, Empire! Empire! (I Was A Lonely Estate), and Algernon Cadwallader. On their side of the split The Blue Period offer up four tracks of mellow, somber, and catchy as hell sounding punk, emo, and alt. rock. Overall, this is a killer split LP and should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy! This split LP was released via IFB, Time As A Color, Strictly No Capital Letters, Wolf Town, Barely Regal, Discos Finu, and Ruined Smile records on March 3rd, 2016.
