Modern Color is a four piece band from Redondo Beach, CA who formed in January of 2014. Modern Color play a noise tinged, slightly melodic style of experimental hardcore. Musically, Modern Color can be said to be influenced by bands such as Some Girls, Blood Brothers, Cave-In, Everytime I Die, and other like-minded bands. Since forming in 2014, Modern Color have released a two song EP titled Somewhere Else in January of 2015. Chromesthesia is the band's debut full-length LP, which was released via Open Door records on July 29th, 2016. On Chromesthesia, Modern Color offer up eight tracks of noise tinged hardcore punctuated by hauntingly atmospheric/melodic passages that really keeps the band's sound fresh and unique. Overall, Chromesthesia is a really solid LP and Modern Color is definitely worth checking out. Great stuff! Enjoy!
