Old Soul is a six piece band from Michigan who formed in April of 2010. Old Soul play a dark and atmospheric style of music that incorporates elements of post metal, black metal, screamo, and shoegaze within their sound. Since forming in 2010, Old Soul have released a four song LP titled Nature's Arms Encircle All in April of 2011, a full length LP titled Who Are Willing To Draw Close in February of 2012, a full-length LP titled Tidal Lock in January of 2013, a split 12" with NIC (Nothing) in June of 2014, and a split LP with Lentic Waters in July of 2014. Blue Heron is the band's latest full-length LP, which was released via Zegema Beach, IFB, Mosh Potatoes, Maniyax, and Dingleberry records in late June of 2016. On their full-length, Old Soul offer up four tracks of dark, urgent, and atmospheric sounding post metal, black metal, screamo, and shoegaze. Overall, Blue Heron is a fantastic LP and should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
