These Branches were a three piece band from Long Beach Island, NJ who formed in the summer of 2009. These Branches play a tense and frenetic style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, punk, and screamo within their sound. Musically, These Branches can be said to be influenced by bands such as Drive Like Jehu, Hoover, Saetia, Frodus, Fugazi, These Arms Are Snakes, Small Brown Bike, Daughters, and Tiny Hawks. Since forming in 2009, These Branches have released a four song EP titled Blank Pages and Blank Faces in July of 2009, an eleven song LP titled This One's For You in February of 2011, a four song EP titled The Payoff in October of 2011, a four song EP titled The Halloween EP in October of 2012, a split with Cycle Schmeichel in December of 2012, a four song EP titled Beliefs in May of 2013, and a split with Basket in May of 2014. This is the band's latest, and final LP, which was released on June 28th, 2016. On their latest full-length LP, These Branches offer up nine tracks of tense, moody, and frenetic sounding post hardcore, punk, and screamo. Overall, this is a killer LP and should not be missed.
